Logging in
Sign in to your patient portal — including troubleshooting if your password isn't working.
Overview
Sign in any time to see your clinic info. The session lasts 30 days unless you sign out.
Prerequisites
- A portal account (see Creating your portal account)
- Email and password
- 2FA code if you enabled it
Steps
Open the sign-in page. https://app.mydentalpractice.ng/patientportal/login.
Enter your email. The same one you registered with.
Enter your password.
Click "Sign in".
(If 2FA enabled) Enter the 6-digit code. From your authenticator app.
Land on the dashboard. First view shows upcoming appointments and quick actions.
Forgot your password? Click Forgot password. Enter your email; reset link emailed; click; set new password.
Sign out when done. Avatar → Sign out. Closes session on this device only.
Expected outcome
- Authenticated session valid for 30 days
- Dashboard reflects your clinic's data
- Audit log records your sign-in (visible to clinic Admin)
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |

| "Invalid credentials" | Wrong password | Use Forgot password |
| Stuck on 2FA | Lost authenticator app | Use a backup code if you saved them; or contact your clinic |
| Email not recognised | Different from your enrolled email | Contact your clinic to update |
| Sign-in keeps failing | Browser cookies blocked | Allow cookies for mydentalpractice.ng |
| Want to stay signed in longer | Sessions auto-expire 30 days | Sign in again — that's the default |
