Login issues

Resolve the most common reasons you can't sign in.

No login required. This article is public — anyone with the URL can read and follow it.

Overview

Most sign-in failures fall into one of seven categories. Diagnose by symptom; the fix is usually quick.

Steps

"Invalid email or password" — wrong credentials. Click Forgot password. A reset email arrives within minutes. Click the link, set a new password, sign in.

Reset email never arrives. Check spam folder. If still missing, your email may be on a deny-list. Try Resend verification (limited to 3/hour). If a typo, contact clinic admin to update your email.

"Email not verified". Open the most recent verification email and click the link. If expired, click Resend verification.

"Account locked". Too many failed attempts (default 10 in 15 min). Wait 15 minutes, then try again. Or use Forgot password to reset.

"Cookies must be enabled". Browser blocking cookies. Allow *.mydentalpractice.ng in Browser settings → Privacy → Cookies.

Sign-in page is blank. JavaScript blocked or browser too old. Try in incognito/private window with extensions off; or update your browser.

Sign-in succeeds but redirects to wrong page. Browser caching. Clear site cookies and reload.

2FA prompt shows but code rejected. See 2FA not working.

Expected outcome

  • You can sign in successfully
  • Repeated issues escalate to clinic admin (clinic users) or support (platform admins)
