Overview
Your portal dashboard is the home page after sign-in. It shows everything important about your relationship with the clinic in one view.
Prerequisites
- Signed-in portal account
Steps
Sign in. Land on /patientportal/dashboard.
Read the welcome card. Your name, profile photo, the clinic's name, your patient number.
Check upcoming appointments. Next 1-3 appointments shown with date, time, dentist, type. Click any for full details or to reschedule.
See active treatment plans. Plans your clinic has proposed or you've approved. Click for full breakdown.
Outstanding balance. Amount you owe. Click to pay or see invoices.
Recent messages. Chat snippets from your clinic. Click to read full conversation.
Quick actions. Book Appointment, Pay Invoice, Message Clinic — shortcuts.
Upcoming reminders. Birthday, recall reminders, monthly tips from the clinic.
Expected outcome

- Real-time updates if your clinic updates a record
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |

| Old data showing | Cache | Pull-to-refresh or hard-reload |
| Upcoming appointment missing | Booking not yet confirmed | Wait for clinic confirmation; or contact them |
| Balance wrong | Recent payment not yet recorded | Check Invoices for payment status |
| No messages despite expecting | Clinic hasn't replied yet | Allow 24h; chat is async |
| Profile photo missing | Not uploaded | Profile → Upload photo |
