Common error messages

What each common error toast or banner means and how to recover.

Overview

The most common error messages you'll see in MyDentalPractice — what they mean and what to do next.

Errors

"Your session has expired. Please sign in again." Cookie timed out or you've been idle too long. Sign back in.

"You don't have permission to perform this action." Your role doesn't include this action. Cross-reference Clinic roles and permissions; ask your Owner or Admin if you need elevated access.

"Subscription expired" / locked except for billing. Trial ended, payment failed, or subscription cancelled. See Subscription expired.

"This feature isn't included in your plan." Your tier or addons don't include it. See Feature locked by tier.

"Patient must have a paid registration fee." Patient hasn't paid the clinic registration fee yet. See Paying the registration fee.

"Time slot conflicts with another booking." Someone else booked that slot, or the dentist isn't working then. Pick a different time.

"Please fill in the required fields." A required form field is empty or invalid. Look for fields highlighted in red.

"You're sending requests too quickly. Please wait a moment." Brief rate-limit triggered. Wait about a minute and retry.

"Something went wrong on our end. Please try again." A backend hiccup. Refresh first; if the error persists, raise a service ticket and include the time it happened.

"MyDentalPractice is temporarily unavailable." Brief platform-side downtime, usually under a minute. Wait and retry.
