Can't find a patient

Patient search returns nothing despite the patient existing.

Steps

Switch to "All" tab. Default Patients view filters to Active. Patient may be Archived or Inactive — switch to All.

Try alternate spellings. "Mohammed" / "Muhammad" / "Mohamed" — common variation. Try the surname only.

Search by phone. Last 7 digits often enough. Try with and without country code prefix.

Search by patient number. Format usually MDP-NNNNN or your clinic's prefix. Numerical part alone usually matches.

Search by date of birth. Patients page filter — narrows the list dramatically.

Wrong location. Multi-location clinics — some patients are scoped to a single location. Switch the location filter to "All".

Patient was deleted. If status DELETED (not archived) — soft-delete preserves the record for 30 days. Owner/Admin can restore from Archived tab → Show deleted.

Possibly a duplicate exists with different spelling. See Merging duplicate patients once you find both.
