Subscription expired

What happens when your trial ends or subscription lapses, and how to restore access.

Steps

Identify the state. Settings → Billing & Subscription. Status will be TRIAL_ENDED, EXPIRED, SUSPENDED, or CANCELLED.

TRIAL_ENDED. Your 14-day trial completed without a payment method. Action: add a payment method, the system will start your Starter (or chosen tier) subscription immediately.

EXPIRED. Recurring charge failed (insufficient funds, card expired, bank declined). Action: update payment method or pay the outstanding invoice.

SUSPENDED. Manual suspension by platform — typically for fraud review or policy violation. Action: contact platform support.

CANCELLED. You explicitly cancelled. Action: re-subscribe — same page, Re-subscribe button. Data preserved 30 days post-cancellation.

While in any blocked state. Most of the app is restricted; only Settings → Billing & Subscription is reachable. Staff redirected automatically.

Read the recovery flow. Click Pay outstanding or Update payment method. Paystack handles the charge; status flips back to ACTIVE within seconds.

Verify recovery. Header on Billing page now shows tier and ACTIVE. Top nav restores all sections. Tell your team to refresh.
