Specialist feedback

Read the specialist's report and integrate findings into the patient's chart.

Overview

When a specialist completes the referred work, they upload their report and findings. Use the report to update your patient record — chart, treatment plan, follow-up.

Prerequisites

  • Clinical role
  • A COMPLETED referral with attached report

Steps

Open the referral. Top nav → Referrals → click row.

Read the specialist report. Panel shows uploaded documents (X-rays, written report, photographs). Open each.

Update the patient's dental chart. If the specialist extracted a tooth or placed an implant, mark it on the patient's odontogram. See Annotating teeth.

Integrate findings into the treatment plan. Open the patient's active treatment plan; add or update items based on the specialist's recommendations.

Schedule follow-up. Often after referred work, the patient needs a check-up at your clinic. Create follow-up appointment from the referral detail.

Add a clinical note. Summarise the specialist's findings in the patient's notes for future reference.

Mark referral closed. Close to lock the referral record. Re-opening requires Admin/Owner.

Send a thank-you to the specialist. Optional but professional — quick message via the referral detail's communication panel.

Expected outcome

  • The specialist report is archived against the patient and the referral
  • Chart and treatment plan reflect specialist findings
  • Follow-up appointment booked if needed
