Send a monthly newsletter or announcement to your patient base.
Overview
A scheduled monthly message — oral health tip, special offer, holiday hours. Auto-sent on the chosen day each month to your full patient base or a tag-segmented subset.
Prerequisites
- Owner or Admin role
monthly_greetingsfeature flag enabled- A clear monthly cadence in mind
Steps
Open Monthly Greetings settings. Settings → Monthly Greetings.
Toggle "Send monthly greeting" on.
Pick channels. SMS, Email, or both.
Choose recipient segment. All active patients, by tag, by location.
Edit the template. Different templates per month or one universal template. Insert variables for personalisation.
Pick the day of month. 1st, 15th, custom. Sends at the configured hour.
Preview. Render the message for sample patients to verify.
Save. The next monthly cycle picks up the template.
Expected outcome
- Monthly cron sends the template to the chosen segment
- Stats track delivery and engagement
- Opt-outs respected per patient
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |

| Send didn't fire on day 1 | Time zone or cron issue | Check Settings → System Status |
| Wrong segment received | Filter not saved | Re-save the segment criteria |
| High unsubscribes | Message too sales-y | Tone down; share useful info, not just promotions |
| Template variables not resolving | Pasted from external editor | Re-insert via the variable picker |
| Want to skip a month | Toggle off, save, toggle back on next month | No "skip month" feature; manual toggle is the workaround |
