Addons
One-off feature or capacity purchases that don't require a full tier upgrade.
Overview
Addons are individual purchases on top of your subscription. They unlock a single feature flag, raise a capacity limit, or add a consumable like SMS credit. Use them when a tier upgrade is overkill — e.g., your Starter clinic only needs HMO claims for one insurance partnership.

Steps to buy and use an addon
Open the Addons card. Go to Settings → Billing & Subscription, scroll to the Addons card. The catalog shows every addon currently available to your tenant (some are gated to specific tiers).
Pick the addon that solves your need. If you only need to send a thousand SMS for a New Year campaign, the SMS bundle is right. If you need a full feature, the corresponding module addon is right.
Click "Purchase". A Paystack modal opens. Enter or pick your payment instrument and confirm. The platform records the addon as PENDING until Paystack confirms; usually that's seconds.
Verify the addon is now active. The addon row in My Addons flips to ACTIVE. The Features card updates immediately if the addon enables a flag — the previously-locked feature now shows a green check.
Use the unlocked feature. Refresh the page. The relevant section of the top nav appears (e.g., HMO if you bought the HMO module addon).
Track consumable usage for SMS. SMS bundles are consumed on send. Open Settings → Communications → SMS → Balance to see the remaining credit. Top up another bundle if you're running low.
Cancel a recurring addon. Open Settings → Billing & Subscription → My Addons, click the addon row, click Cancel. The addon stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, then doesn't renew. Cancellation refunds aren't given for time already used.
Remember addons survive an expired subscription. If your main subscription expires, addons specifically allow expired tenants to keep buying them. That's because addons are how clinics with billing issues bring themselves current quickly.
